21st Century After-School Programs
Our 21st Century After-School Programs provide additional academic help for students and social enrichment activities, field trips, art, drama, fitness, homework help and various other activities. Our middle school programs have added additional STEM activities to encourage interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Our after school programs are located at your child's school and begin after school dismissal with parent pick up time at 6:00p.m.
After School Community Learning Center
Our After School Community Learning Center Programs are tuition based and offer students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities, such as youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, art, music, recreation programs, and health and fitness activities.
Kentucky HEP Initiative Program
The KY HEP Initiative Program is a grant funded High School Equivalency Program issued by the U.S. Department of Education. Our program offers GED classes to seasonal and migrant agricultural workers and their qualifying family members. All GED classes are taught by bilingual instructors that are fluent in Spanish and English. Our program encompasses ten counties: Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Scott and Woodford. Each county has at least one location for GED classes with many counties having multiple sites.
Urban Academy & Performing Arts Preschool
The Urban Academy and Performing Arts Preschool is a licensed daycare focusing on a strong reading foundation while incorporating performing arts into the curriculum. Your child will have the opportunity to enjoy music, art, dance, science, drama, reading, culture, writing, outdoor play, tactile activities, imaginative play, block building and many other experiences geared toward their age group. Our preschool is for children ages 3, 4 and 5 that have not entered kindergarten. Our preschool is tuition based and we accept child care assistance.
Student and Parent Advocacy Services
Volunteer professionals help parents address concerns regarding issues that they may have with school staff.
Student Character Education
The Character Education curriculum offers social skills development that includes communication, problem-solving, and respect for self and others.
Parental Personal Empowerment
Provides resources for parents to empower them to address their own developmental needs. The program offers information and activities that help parents' identify and pursue their personal goals, and acquire skills for effective communication and problem solving.
